Recording Tips & Suggestions |

| Below are a few suggestions to help in the recording process. They may seem basic, but they are often overlooked. Be prepared • drums tuned with new heads • guitars setup with new strings • extra strings, picks, cables, drum keys, etc. • check for equipment problems - rattles, buzzes, hums, etc. • tuner Know the music and lyrics - it is essential to be comfortable to capture a good performance. It is great to improvise and experiment in the studio, but it can also take a lot of time. Bring examples of the music and of other productions you like. It is helpful for the engineer to have an understanding of the style and concept of your music and production. Try to stay focused on what you want to accomplish. It is best not to invite friends or spouses - Distractions can cost you time and money. Don't rush the process just to complete the project - take your time. You will save money in the long run and enjoy it more! |
