How long does it take to record?
This depends on how much production is involved and what is needed. Do you need to produce a demo for promotional purposes or are you recording an entire CD project? You need to take into account the time it takes to setup and get the sounds and tones you want no matter what you are trying to accomplish. Are you going for a live performance, or do you need to record the instruments and vocals seperate? More than likely it will be a combination of both. It is best to contact us to determine what your project may need.
What days are available to book recording sessions?
It is a good idea to book a session as far in advance as possible. The weekends usually go first, so it is easier to book weekday sessions. All studio time is setup on a first come, first serve basis. We try to make our scheduling as flexible as possible.
What is Mastering?
Mastering is the process of equalizing, compressing, normalizing and editing recorded material into the finished product. It helps to make the recordings sound polished and professional. That is not to say that it is always needed. Some recordings sound great on their own, but many times it is necessary to create a more balanced and professional sound. |
